We Sculpt People to unleash their fullest potential

About Us

HRG Personality Studio provides solutions for personal transformation and professional transitions through our training and coaching. In my 23 years of experience, I recruited and trained thousands of young professionals on soft skills and tried to improve their potential and efficiency. Being in the HR field I have organised many training sessions with various legendry trainers for the employees of the companies where I was employed. But the end result may be 20 to 30% transitions happened and when I started research on this, I realised that skill development alone will not change them and it is because of the personality trait and the inputs they have stored in the brain and which is influencing them has to be rebooted. If at all they feel and cooperate for the change these trainings are just for records and loss of money than of no use.

HRG specializes in developing and empowering people at all levels. I believe that personality is not a born status, but a mindset and a skill that can be learned and improved to achieve that transition required. HRG offers customized career transition training programs that are tailored to the specific needs and objectives. We provide first time employability induction trainings and first time managers training to get that employability transition in them. We use a blend of online and offline learning, interactive activities, and case studies to create an engaging and impactful learning experience. We also provide ongoing coaching and support to ensure lasting results.

Our Blogs

The term was first proposed by Dr.Carol Dweck psychologist and professor at Stanford University who has spent 30 years in studying mindsets.

There are two mindsets, one is fixed mindset and growth mindset.

Fixed Mindset:

Every person has certain talent and intelligent and those are fixed qualities. And it is believed with the greater intelligence are destined for greater success. And this “stalls” in people with lower intelligence.

Carol Dweck defines anyone can continue to develop their skills and talents through education, hard work, motivation and a dedication to develop themselves. “Success is not determined by innate talent or intelligence but, rather by personal development”.

Four important learnings to develop growth mindset are:

  • Build adaptability as an evergreen skill.
  • Put intentional learning into practice.
  • Create a learning culture within your organization.
  • Stay grounded when the only constant is change.

1. ADAPTABILITY:

Adaptability is the ability to learn flexibility and efficiency and to apply that knowledge across situations. Any new situations, technology, advancements, problems need adaptability. People with fixed mindset are not open to adaptability because of fear to failure, fear to criticism, and fear of losing power.

But a person with growth mindset accepts the change and adapt to the transformation. The first step to growth mindset is to approach problems with “Thinking outside the box”.

When you accept the change and try to align with the solution then you think about the changes required, that change is adaptability.

2. LEARNING:

Learning agility, Emotional flexibility and openness to experience multidimensional adaptability. Learning can be honed through practice. Here’s an effective strategy to continually learn, grow and achieve development goals.

But a person with growth mindset accepts the change and adapt to the transformation. The first step to growth mindset is to approach problems with “Thinking outside the box”.

3×3×3 - Professional goal

Three Goals -> when it comes to setting development goals, we recommend focusing on no more than 3 at any given time. Anything more than that is likely to be counter-productive, forcing you to divide your focus, energy and practice among too many pursuits. Where people set too many goals they often failed to make real progress on any one of them.

Example: A mid-career professional, might want to work on being a better coach for her employees and broaden her network and contacts in her industry and improve her enterprise wide focus in leadership meetings. Not only her goals achievable when turned into a concrete action plan, they can also reinforce one another and encourage the executive to leverage day to day experiences in new ways.

Three Months -> A three months period aligns with many of the natural rhythms of the organizational world, where they be quarterly reporting, quarterly business reviews or quarterly leadership updates.

Setting up a deadline of 3 months also forces us to break down longer-term goals into achievable chunks, allowing us to recalibrate or redirect our energies along the way.

Three Other People -> 3 people who will help you work on your development goals. There is a natural instinct to keep our goals to ourselves. It protects us from embarrassment if we don’t achieve those goals and enables us to feel less vulnerable.

Involving others in our learning is one of the most powerful ways to improve.

A single external point of view or accountability buddy is better than none.

CREATE A LEARNING CULTURE WITHIN YOUR ORGANIZATION:

  • Learn how to learn
  • How organization can promote learning
  • Becoming a better learner

“One of the fundamental lessons I learned at west point was you have to really learn to follow in order to learn to lead. There was quite a deliberate approach in terms of how that’s done”
- Elizabeth Young McNally

  • The Building Blocks of learning.
  • Building a culture of learning.
  • Cultivating a growth mindset.
  • Assessing skill gaps.
“We find that 90% of companies believe they are going to have some set of meaningful skills gap over the coming years. But only 16% believe that they’re fully prepared to meet those skill gaps”.
- Mathew Smith
“There is one and you play multiple roles”

According to me professional life is to support our personal life.

When this earth was created, mankind was hunting food, cutting trees for shelter and they initiated deforestation for survival. So survival is the primary need of our life.

But when we evolved we started working for our passion, pride, identity, status, money etc.

Nowadays either money or pride being the driving force for any career.

We have to understand one thing that is we can’t split professional and personal with any kind of numbers. So do not differentiate professional and personal life. We have one life and it is multi-faceted. How we play the role as children, siblings, parents, cousins, in-laws, grandparents etc. Your professional role is also one among them.

You can’t deny in playing any of the roles and we never fail to balance those roles as such playing your professional role should be aligned with your personal role.

According to Rebecca Phillips, your work life balance need some tweaking if :

  • You’re experiencing difficulties in your relationships.
  • You’ve become negative, irritable or resentful.
  • You’re emotionally, physically or mentally exhausted

  • Any of this signs hit a bit, then it is time to sculpt your work-life balance on your own terms.

    1. Identify your needs – It may differ to person to person, A bachelor or a spinster can work long hours than a married person. But his/her need for money may be higher than a family person. So need for your career and contribution differs. Identify your needs that you need which is needed for your family too.

    2. Value your passion – Your passion can be anything which keeps you happy. When you close your eyes and ask you to think about anything which makes you comfort and happy is your value.

    3. Focus on your routine –
    a) Exercise
    b) House core
    c) Spending time with family / friends
    d) Learning new things
    e) Weekly outhig etc

Once you narrow down those essential, you can start to explore steps you need to live out your values on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.

    4. Allocate your roles – You should analyze your responsibilities and segregate the tasks which you can perform alone or do it along with your peers, partner, children or a family member.

    5. Changes In routine –Anybody gets irritated or bored with routine rules. Ever you can’t change those role plays you can shuffle or change the pattern like:

  • Change of workout timings or place.
  • Once in a week plan a long lunch with your loved ones.
  • Make a change in the work style pattern.
  • Exchange roles with your family members.

  • It never hurt anyone to ask your request than assuming to be denied. There is no chance of accepting all but can accept few.

    6. Save your energy –Few of us sell our energy for money, fame and status. We don’t realize that nothing can equal your energy. Society values your energy than anything else.

Take proper maintenance of your body, listen to your energy tone. Be efficient when your energy is in peak and rest when its goes down.

To boost up your energy follow some regular activities like workouts, yoga, meditation, listening to music etc.

    7. Create your boundaries –We should know our limits, to fix the boundaries for others. You will benefit from creating boundaries, then you won’t feel that you are always engaged.

  • Delete emails and apps related to your work from your phone.
  • Do not encourage communication during non-working hours.
  • Close your laptop or workable closed after working hours.
  • Turn off your work phone while at home.
  • Strictly say no to all time service.

  • 8. End Card –Once you complete your work and turn to home forget about office. Stop sharing everything to your spouse or family. Then the negative carry forward for the whole day.

Follow some rituals even it is soon differs your work from soon,

  • Take a shower
  • Change your clothes
  • Have a walk
  • Gardening / Cleaning
  • Engaging kids / Family

  • 9. Self-Love –Schedule your day breaks, weekly and monthly,

  • Go for a spa
  • Meditation

  • 10. OFF to Rest –Day off is to rest. Even if you have no work at home do not spare your time to your professional work. Management will consider you to be workaholic. Human body needs rest than that of our mind (brain) need to rest to retreat or rejuvenate.

Taking leave may lead you to pay off but health is wealth, for a long run you need your health in condition.

A good work life balance will take a different shapes for every person. Ultimately, the key is to find your purpose of meaningful and fulfilling life check for tiny changes even which can change your life towards fulfilled and happy life.

Work-life balance strategies are not constant as the role of life changes and every change need a different strategy to get balanced. So regularly check in your emotions and feelings accordingly change your priorities and know what is important to you.

Remember one thing, know to differentiate things which is important and which is emergency and act according to emergencies.
